The centers will be constructed considering the natural diversity and geological landscape of both republics.
On January 25, President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov met with President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev during an informal visit. The meeting took place at the Amirsoy ski resort in the Tashkent region, as reported by the press service of the President of Uzbekistan.
During the meeting, the leaders discussed bilateral cooperation, international politics, and regional interaction. Sadyr Japarov expressed admiration for the modern infrastructure of the Amirsoy resort, noting that it meets global standards.
The presidents agreed to develop joint projects for the creation of resort and recreational centers, utilizing the natural potential of both countries.
Sadyr Japarov emphasized that although 94% of Kyrgyzstan’s territory is mountainous, the development of ski tourism had previously remained out of focus due to political and social issues.
