Kazakh athlete Yevgeny Koshkin claimed the gold medal at the World Cup in speed skating, as reported by Sport Shredinger. The World Cup event took place in Tomaszów Mazowiecki, Poland.
On Sunday, February 23, Koshkin excelled in Division A, securing first place in the 500-meter race with a time of 34.52, improving his Friday performance by 0.28 seconds. Canadian skater Lauren Dubreuil finished second with a time of 34.70, while Polish athlete Marek Kania took third with a time of 34.76.
Earlier in February, Koshkin earned a silver medal at the 2025 Asian Games in Harbin in the 100-meter race. On Friday, February 21, during the first day of competition, Yevgeny Koshkin also won the 500-meter race in Division B.
