On February 13, 2025, the government of Kazakhstan approved an agreement between Kazakhstan and the Kingdom of Morocco regarding the exemption from visa requirements for holders of national/citizen passports.
The agreement stipulates that citizens of either country will not need a visa to enter, exit, transit, or temporarily stay in the other country, as long as the stay does not exceed 30 calendar days within a 180-day period from the date of entry. Passports must be valid for at least three months beyond the intended date of departure.
However, citizens planning to visit for business, work, or study and stay for more than 30 calendar days will still need to obtain the appropriate visa from the diplomatic missions or consular offices of the other country.
The agreement will come into effect 30 calendar days after both sides have completed their domestic procedures and notified each other through diplomatic channels.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan explained that this agreement will strengthen relations between the two countries and establish a visa-free regime for national/citizen passport holders.
The decree has been effective since February 13, 2025.
