Bektau-Ata

Bektau-Ata is a tract located in 70 km to the north of Balkhash town. It’s a beautiful place with an amazing landscape having a volcanic origin. An astonishing variety of fauna (for example, pelicans) seems to be unreal.
Yazevoe Lake
The lake is in Katon-Karagai National Nature Park which is in the East. It is 1686 meters above the sea level. The Yazevaya river flows from the lake. A couple of kilometers downstream you can see waterfalls. There’s a tourist base in the east coast and Belukha peak in the north – the peak’s charming reflection in Yazev lake water hypnotizes tourists. The lake is in 28 kilometers from Yazovaya village. It is Yazovaya lake, where orfes weighing almost 3 kilograms can be found.
Karynzharyk
Karynzharyk is a hollow 75 meters below the sea level. It’s in the south-west of Mangistau region. The main feature is five sarsen mountains, towering more than 150 meters in height. Three of them stand close to each other, so locals call these mountains "Three Batyrs" or "Three Brothers".
Keen-Kerish
Clay canyon is in 120 km from Kurchum city (2 hours distance). The canyon is also called “the City of Spirits". The landscape is stunning in its variety: plains, salt patches, meadow vegetation bands adjacent to dried up streams that disappear in the summer. The bright coloring of clay rocks are the evidences that they were formed in the hot and humid tropical climate of the Mesozoic era, when dinosaurs used to live.
Mountains of Aktau
Located in the south-east of Kazakhstan, the Aktau Chalk Mountains are a unique masterpiece of Altyn-Emel National Park. Fossilized remains of the oldest plants and animals - giant rhinoceroses, crocodiles and turtles that inhabited the territory of modern Kazakhstan 30 million years ago were found right here.
