Lake Timur-Dara
For those who like challenging routes, a trip to Lake Timur-Dara is a great option. This mountain lake is located at an altitude of 2000 meters above sea level in the Gissar anomalous zone. It is surrounded by picturesque mountains and offers stunning views for tourists.
Siyoma
Siyoma Gorge, located 55 kilometers from Dushanbe, is one of the most beautiful places in Varzob district. Here flows a river with bright blue, crystal clear water. The path along the river goes up the slopes in some places, but is mostly well-traveled. The place is ideal for nature lovers and hikers.
Romit
Romit Gorge is known for its tourist attractions. It is located 70 kilometers from Dushanbe, at the confluence of the Sardai-Miyona and Sorbo rivers. In this area is the kishlak of Romit. Opposite the village, on the other side of the river, begins the territory of the Romit Reserve, which was established in 1959 and occupies more than 16,000 hectares. Here you can see unique representatives of flora and fauna.
Shirkent
The valley of the Shirkent River, starting near the town of Tursun-Zadeh, is famous for its historical and natural park. It was established in June 1991 and covers a considerable territory. Here you can enjoy nature and learn a lot of interesting things about the local history.
Almosy
The narrow valley of the Hanaka River, located between the Karatag and Hanaka Rivers. This area is still little known among tourists, but it attracts with its unique nature. Upstream of the river, on the southern slopes of the Gissar ridge, there is a wildlife preserve — it is a protected natural area of 6000 hectares.
Gusgarf
Gusgarf waterfall, located near Dushanbe in the right gorge of the Varzob River, is one of the most beautiful waterfalls of the Hissar Range. It is a popular destination for day trips, during which you can enjoy the magnificent views and the coolness of the waterfall.
Nurek
The Nurek Reservoir, also known as the "Blue Sea" or "Mountain Sea", is located near the Nurek Hydroelectric Power Plant. The water here is clear and fresh, fed by the glaciers of the Pamirs. It is an ideal place for a quick tour. One day is enough to enjoy the magnificent views and tranquility of the reservoir.
