Every city has its own charm, and Astana is not an expectance. The citizens and guests of the capital emphasize its amazing, wonderful and outlandish architecture. This makes possible to shoot the great photos, and thus WE have asked for photographs what inspires them to make incredible moments of city life.

“Every city has its own rhythm, but speaking about Astana, its rhythm is always different and you have to get used to it. What I like the most, that Astana is always unpredictable. Our city is as young as we are, and we are growing up simultaneously. I can infinitely speak about Astana, but it’s impossible to understand the city until you come and live here. I am proud of the fact that I grew up in Astana!”

“Personally, Astana is place full of rich spiritual atmosphere with a mixture of urban life of people who live here and with the modern technologies. Most of those people who have got a talent in playing the piano, doing the photography or anything else can share their skills with others in order to somehow motivate them doing some more of creative and extraordinary things. This is how people of Astana and those who are visiting this place tackle with each other every day and have absolutely no struggle of it!”

“Loving in one place, I’ve lived in three cities — first it was Tselinograd, then Akmola, and now I am a citizen of wonderful capital Astana. I love my Astana, I have witnessed its transformation, which make the city much more beautiful and interesting. I like walking on city streets, because every building is linked with my memory and only warm feelings come to my mind. Also, the sky of Astana is absolutely amazing! ”

“I like sunsets of Astana. The city is totally different at night: everything is illuminated and bright, the lifestyle is the same. I was impressed with the scale of the city, which is almost as the territory of my motherland Almaty, but the architecture of Astana is absolutely different.”

“I like to leave the city for a while, because when I come back, for a short period of time I have a chance to look at it from a different distant perspective. I'm especially in love with bridges, parks, mosques, old streets of the right bank, but mostly I adore its sky. Brodsky said once about Venice that “At sunsets all cities look wonderful, but some more than others”. Well, I haven't been in Venice yet, but I was in other places and I can say for sure that Astana in the view of its sunset is extremely beautiful.”
