Promenade
High Line Park
The High Line is a Park on rails at the height of the outdoor subway. It is located in the Chelsea area at an altitude of ten meters, and few people know about it yet.
Entrance to the Park is free, but you need specifying the time of work because in the evening it is closed. In summer, it sells delicious ice cream, and cafes are working.
From the Park, you can look at the Hudson and even see the neighbouring state of New Jersey.
Bryant Park
It is a small Park between 5th and 6th Avenue and between 40th and 42nd streets. The New York public library is located next to the Park. This is an interesting place, and few people know anyone can go and see the beautiful halls from the inside.
Madison Square
Madison Square is a small Park, but there are often performances of different bands. This Park is adjacent to the Flatiron building — «house-iron», which always attracts the attention of tourists.
Union Square
It is a small Park where a farmer's market is held four times a week. Depending on the season, interesting products are brought there. For example, Christmas markets are held in winter, where you can buy homemade caramel, gifts, toys. Even if you do not plan to buy anything, it's just interesting to walk there.
Greenwich Village
I love this area with small two-storey houses, beautiful entrances, doors. This green area is famous for the TV series «Friends» and «Sex and the city», and here you can forget you are in New York.

Flea market
New York is famous for flea markets. They work in different seasons or may even occur spontaneously on one of the weekends.
Department store
Macy's, Bloomingdale's, Lord & Taylor are travel stores that are promoted through movies.
If a person comes to New York for the holidays, these centres are often beautifully decorated. And it's worth going there for. Also there you can successfully buy something during sales.
Century 21
A network of discount stores, where branded goods from all the shops which are selling by big discounts. Here you can find shoes, men's, women's, children's clothing, cosmetics.
Woodbury Common
Many New Yorkers go to outlets in the countryside, where you can buy goods on big discounts. The most famous is Woodbury Common. Tourists can get there by bus. Soon after Thanksgiving, in New York City will be Black Friday, and everyone will be out shopping.

Serafina Network
New York has many places for different tastes, but I have a few favourite chains. New York, it is pizza, and many say it's better here than in Italy. And Serafina — a network of restaurants where you can taste delicious pizza.
Bareburger Network
America is also famous for its burgers. And I like the place Bareburger. There you can take a ready-made burger or make burger by yourself from the meat of bison or deer. It's delicious and interesting.
Maison Kayser Network
It's a French pastry chain that grew into a café. In America, it is difficult to buy good bread, and here you can find what you are looking for.
National Districts
In New York, you can find and try any national cuisine. Delicious Chinese food can be found in Chinatown, Korean in Koreatown. It all depends on what the person wants to try.
Museums and cultural events
Frick Collection
I like the museum «Frick Collection». This is not a popular place and even people who live here for several years have not heard about it. This is a small museum, the former home of billionaire Frick. He was a major industrialist and collector of European art. He bought paintings, exhibits and brought everything to his house in New York. And after the death of Frick, his wife gave the house to the city to make it a museum.
The Metropolitan Museum of Art
Probably everyone has heard about the Metropolitan Museum of Art. But few people know that on the roof of the Museum there is a platform from which you can see The Central Park and the skyscrapers around. You can go there absolutely free of charge.
Musicals
For performances, it is worth watch musicals in New York. This is what you can go to the theatre for. I had three bad experiences going to drama and realized that classical theatre is not about New York. And I went to the musical about five times, and it was always good.
There are no repertory theatres in New York, one musical is one separate theatre. All you have to do is choose the one you like. Here you can find performances known all over the world. You can see the «Phantom of the Opera», which I went twice, and it is a fascinating performance.
You can buy tickets online or try to buy tickets on the day of the performance at the box office of the theatre with good discounts.
