A memorandum was signed between the governor and the head of a Chinese airline. Discussions were held on the possibility of launching a direct flight between Almaty and Shanghai, as reported by the city governor’s office.
According to the press service, the memorandum aims to facilitate the opening of the route, with active efforts underway to secure the necessary approvals from China’s National Civil Aviation Service.
Earlier, a similar memorandum was signed with another Chinese airline to support the launch of new flights, including an additional Almaty-Beijing route and a new connection between Almaty and Chengdu.
