They are planting trees, adopting green technologies, and creating conditions for a sustainable future. In this overview, we highlight companies that are actively participating in the country’s environmental initiatives.
Kapitalbank
The bank is actively involved in the national project Yashil Makon. Over the past few years, the company has planted more than 40 000 trees and installed air quality monitoring sensors in several regions of the country, contributing to environmental improvements.
Winncom Technologies
This IT company conducts annual tree-planting campaigns in cooperation with the Volunteers Association. The initiative aims to engage young people in environmental care and urban greening efforts.
SAIPRO GROUP
A financial company that became the first in Uzbekistan to issue green bonds worth four million USD. The funds are being used to build the environmentally friendly Green Hills Resort in the Tashkent region.
Huawei Uzbekistan
Since 2020, the company has been running the Green Uzbekistan project. As part of this initiative, around 30 000 saxaul saplings have been planted on the dried seabed of the Aral Sea to combat desertification in the region.
LUKOIL Uzbekistan
The Russian company organizes annual environmental festivals in various cities across Uzbekistan. These events have led to the planting of around 2000 trees, including pines, birches, and paulownias.
Golden House
This construction company is adopting the concept of eco-development. Its Assalom Jomiy project is a residential complex designed according to international environmental standards, incorporating energy-saving, soundproofing, and water purification technologies.
Nestlé Uzbekistan
In December 2023, the company launched an environmental campaign titled Preserve the Nature of the Aral Together for Future Generations, during which 10 000 saxaul saplings were planted in the Aral region.
TBC Bank
The bank is implementing environmental initiatives, including the Green Office program aimed at reducing resource consumption and improving environmental conditions.
Siberian Wellness
Since 2023, the company has been participating in the 100 Hectares project to restore the Aral Sea region’s ecosystem. In 2024 alone, it planted over 10 220 saxaul saplings, with plans to plant another 10 000 trees in 2025.
