Kazakhstan and the United Kingdom have agreed to collaborate on several issues, including the exchange of information on in-demand labor specialties, the protection of workers' rights, and the provision of data on private employment agencies.This agreement was formalized during the Strategic Dialogue "Kazakhstan - Great Britain" in London, where a memorandum was signed between the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of Kazakhstan and the Service for Combating Exploitation and Violations of Labor Laws of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. The Memorandum on cooperation between the countries in the field of labor migration provides for the following:
Specifically, it includes the following provisions:
— the exchange of information regarding the conditions and procedures for the temporary employment of citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Great Britain.
— exchange of information on the activities of private employment agencies sending workers from the Republic of Kazakhstan to the UK for labor activities, as well as confirmation of their activities in accordance with the legislation of the receiving state.
— cooperation on ensuring and protecting the labor and social rights of citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan during their labor activity on the territory of Great Britain, including within the framework of the Seasonal Worker Visa Tier-5.
— exchange of information on demanded labor specialties and necessary professional training of citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The Ministry has stated that the signing of this memorandum is a significant step in strengthening cooperation between Kazakhstan and the UK in the field of labor rights protection.
