This year, Astana is set to launch 55 investment projects. At the investment headquarters, only projects deemed essential for the city and its residents are being supported.
On February 23, new and under-construction enterprises focused on developing the food industry, logistics, and trade were inspected. One of the sites visited was the business complex of a local company, which includes a bakery producing 25 tons of goods daily and a vegetable storage facility. In 2026, a dairy plant is scheduled to open, processing 100 tons of milk per day. The project has attracted 8.1 billion tenge in private investments and has already created nearly 250 jobs.
A modern vegetable storage facility of another company was also examined. The investor has allocated 1.8 billion tenge for the project, resulting in 200 new jobs. With a capacity of 8000 tons, the facility is expected to help stabilize fruit and vegetable prices.
In 2025, private investments will also fund the opening of a central warehouse for a major retail chain in the Sarayshyq district. The project’s investments amount to 11.1 billion tenge, and it is expected to create around 200 jobs.
In 2024, Astana put into operation 49 investment projects, attracting 301 billion tenge in private investments and creating 4100 jobs.
Previously, it was reported that a new industrial zone was planned for the capital. Astana continues to lead in attracting investments in fixed capital, especially in the tourism sector.
