“The Prisoner of Château d’If”, 1989
The film, a joint production of the USSR and France in three episodes, was filmed based on the novel by Alexandre Dumas The Count of Monte Cristo. Scenes from this film were filmed in several countries — Italy, France, and in the Soviet Union the filming took place in Bukhara and Samarkand.

The main filming of the film, telling about the last years of Vladimir Vysotsky, took place in Bukhara and Samarkand, for example, at the Siab Bazaar.
