Parks and green spaces in Tashkent: where to enjoy the outdoors in the capital of Uzbekistan

Parks in Tashkent are places where you can take a stroll, engage in sports, or simply relax. During the summer, they also offer a retreat from the heat. Each park has its own unique features, ranging from cozy alleys to modern active recreation areas.

Magic City

Magic City is a year-round amusement park in Tashkent. The park is designed in various architectural styles representing different cities. It features shops, cafes, restaurants, and modern attractions. Key highlights include the first aquarium in Central Asia, an innovative laser cinema, an amphitheater styled like the Roman Colosseum, and a 60-meter-high fairy-tale castle. The park also houses "Children’s land", where kids can explore dream professions, and an impressive fountain.

Alisher Navoi National Park

Alisher Navoi National Park in Tashkent is the largest urban park in the country and has become a popular recreational spot for city residents. The park is known for its greenery, well-maintained lawns, fountains, and flower beds. In the center stands a monument to the Uzbek poet Alisher Navoi. Families can enjoy the park, with slides, swings, and amusement rides for children. By the lake, there is a boat station where you can rent a boat during warm weather.

Japanese garden

The Japanese garden in Tashkent is a spacious and picturesque area designed for peaceful relaxation. You can stroll along cozy pathways, take photographs, sit by the pond, or have a picnic. In the center of the garden is a Tea pavilion, and in the northern part, you can find enclosures with peacocks and other birds. Swans and geese can be seen by the pond, where you can also rent pedal boats. The garden is ideal for photo shoots and hosting special events.

Mirzo Ulugbek Central Park

Mirzo Ulugbek Central Park, located in the eastern part of Tashkent, is a popular recreational area. The park offers 26 attractions, including roller coasters and a children’s playground. In addition to the entertainment zone, the park features quiet walking alleys, a cascading waterfall, food stalls, and various relaxation zones.

Seoul National Park

Seoul National Park, located in the "Friendship" park in Tashkent, combines natural beauty with elements of Korean culture. In the Korean Garden, you can see a bas-relief dedicated to the gratitude of Koreans to the Uzbek people. The park is decorated with traditional wooden gates, a pavilion by the pond, and the "Bell of Peace" pavilion. It also features evergreen pines, streams, and rocks that form living sculptures. The park offers walking paths, an outdoor cinema, a library, and mini-stadiums.

“Navruz” Park

“Navruz” ethnographic park on the banks of the Anhor River in Tashkent attracts visitors with its architecture and cultural elements. It is home to the tallest Ferris wheel in Central Asia, the 72-meter-high "Star of Anchor", and the unique cable-stayed "Bridge of Happiness" in the shape of an infinity symbol. A special attraction is the crafts village, where small shops around a pond display traditional handmade Uzbek products, ranging from ceramics to carpets and wooden items.

Yangi Uzbekistan

Park Yangi Uzbekistan is one of the largest parks in Tashkent. It boasts clean air, abundant greenery, and perfect walking paths for family outings. The park is known for its well-maintained grounds, numerous benches, photo-worthy spots, and excellent infrastructure. There is a lake with a swimming area and beach, as well as cafes and restaurants on the park's premises.

Tashkent Botanical Garden named after academician F.N. Rusanov

The Tashkent Botanical Garden named after academician F.N. Rusanov is a scientific facility housing more than 2,400 plant species. Established in 1943, it remains the oldest natural zone in Central Asia. Dense forests, vibrant flowers, and birdsong create a peaceful atmosphere, ideal for escaping the hustle and bustle of the city and enjoying nature with your family.

Amir Timur Square

Amir Timur Square is located in the center of Tashkent. It offers a relaxing spot near the city's fountains, with beautiful views of the park and its alleys. The park features several monuments, including one dedicated to Amir Timur. There are four fountains in the square, surrounded by benches for visitors. At night, the fountains are beautifully illuminated with colorful lights.

Gafur Gulyam Culture and Recreation Park

Gafur Gulyam Culture and Recreation Park is the second-largest park in Tashkent. It offers 41 attractions and features three modern playgrounds for young children. From the most recent Ferris wheel, you can enjoy a panoramic view of the entire city.
