The new theater season has begun, and for all lovers of cultural leisure, we have gathered the most interesting premieres in the best theaters of Central Asia and Azerbaijan that you will definitely enjoy.


Kazakhstan


State Academic Russian Drama Theater named after M. Gorky, @gorkytheatre.kz


On the stage of this theater in Astana, several premieres of modern productions will take place in November: the eccentric comedy “So, How Do You Like Him?” and the musical drama “The Miracle Worker, or What Is Love.”

This season, the artists of Astana Ballet will delight their audience with a unique author’s interpretation of “Romeo and Juliet”, as well as the touching ballet “December Rain.” In December, audiences can traditionally enjoy “The Nutcracker.”

The audio performance “Connections” offers a unique format of theatrical experience: listeners immerse themselves in the city’s sonic story, revealing its atmosphere and secrets through voice, music, and sound effects. The project enables audiences to experience events, perceive space through sound, and gain an unusual perspective on urban stories — all while remaining mobile and free to move. Two performances are available: “Connections” and “The Spirit of the City.”

Schedule for October: Wednesday and Saturday — “The Spirit of the City”, Thursday and Sunday — “Connections”, Friday — “Connections” in English.

On October 30 and 31, director Nikita Mikhalkov will present his reflective performance “12” on the main stage of the State National Russian Drama Theater named after Ch. Aitmatov. On November 1 and 2, audiences can enjoy Yevgeny Schwartz’s play “The Tale of Lost Time.”
