We continue the format of articles for the “Travel” column, where I, along with my friends, share the best places in amazing cities around the world. In this article, my friend Tamiris Syzdykbekbekova @njvbbb will talk about her favorite places on the island of Bali.

The first time I found myself in Bali was in 2019. I went there with a friend, choosing a package tour, and spent only a week on the island. Already then I felt that I fell in love with the place. At that time, Bali was not yet as popular and trendy as it is today.
I visited Bali for the second time in 2022 and stayed there for a month. And the third time, in 2023, I decided to move to the island and lived there for six months. I fell in love not only with the island itself, but also with the atmosphere I felt there.
I found refuge in the Ubud area, which is considered the spiritual center of the island. Here you can practice yoga, visit rice paddies and waterfalls.
My day started at 06:00 with a yoga class at The Yoga Barn. After the class, I would have breakfast and go back home to work on creating content for Instagram. At 09:00 I'd go out to Stories and head out for a snack — I didn't usually eat lunch at home. My schedule was free and I was creative: drawing, shooting content, reading books and participating in photo shoots.
Bali is made up of ten main districts. The most popular ones are Changu, Ubud and Uluwatu. I want to share my favorite places on this magical island that will help you experience it one hundred percent.
The Yoga Barn, @theyogabarn
This is a center that has seven yoga studios. Different practices and rituals are held here. The Yoga Barn is located in the center of Ubud. There is also a hotel, spa center and Garden Kafe where I used to have a delicious breakfast. Since it's a proper food cafe, I ordered avocado toast most often.
Sayan Point, @sayan_point
My favorite Indonesian and European food restaurant is located in Ubud. You can have a delicious dinner here with a beautiful view of the jungle. The restaurant has a swimming pool, sunset bar and live music. The menu has interesting and tasty cocktails, bowls and hearty breakfasts
Pyramids of Chi, @pyramidsofchi
Pyramids of Chi is a complex of structures rising amidst rice paddies. It is erected with the principles of geometry aimed at creating a special energy. Various sessions and practices are held here, including gong meditations, sound healing, and light therapy. In addition, cocoa ceremonies, workshops on breathing, yoga and spiritual development are also organized here.
Melasti Beach
Melasti Beach is a gorgeous spot with crystal clear water and soft sand, which is located in Uluwatu district. It is one of the most beautiful beaches on the island.
Savaya bali, @savayabali
One of Bali's most famous nightclubs, featuring international DJs and artists. It is located in Uluwatu, on a cliff with breathtaking views of the Indian Ocean. The club has infinity pools. Entrance to the institution is paid, it is desirable to book a table in advance, as in fact you may not be allowed.
Miss Fish, @missfishbali
Japanese seafood and fusion cuisine restaurant. It's the perfect place for a fun night out! It has a DJ playing and guests come to dance to great music and enjoy the atmosphere.
Crate Café Cahggu, @cratecafe
A breakfast spot where surfers, bloggers and just plain food lovers converge. You can enjoy breakfast from 06:00 to 16:00. Portions are large and prices are reasonable. The menu offers dishes for vegans, which makes this place attractive for different audiences.
This place is known for its interesting tradition. Under the glass tables of the cafe you can leave your photo — there is a real collection of visitors' photos here, which creates a special atmosphere of coziness.
