What is AIESEC?
AIESEC is the world's largest non-profit youth-run organization founded in 1948. Its main goal is to preserve peace and development of human potential.
AIESEC was formed in Kazakhstan in 2007, in Astana it was founded in 2012. There’re two official representative offices in Almaty and Astana.
There’re 40 participants in Astana, 60 members in Almaty. Our structure is dynamic, we’ve got marketing, business development and international relations offices. Seminars are held on a regular basis, we gather and discuss all the issues weekly. Our main idea is to use every opportunity to improve our city, country and the world.
We work on a voluntary basis for free. We find sponsors and partners, companies on our own.
People from 18 to 30 are welcomed to become a member of AISEC. Candidates have to apply, play business games so that we could identify their leadership qualities, have an interview and work at the probationary period.
We annually recruit new participants in September and February. There’re always many candidates to be hired.

Business talks forum is regularly held for our partners.
The Youth Speak project is the largest event aiming at solution of social problems. There participants deal with problem-solving case studies. The best projects can get sponsorship contracts.
There’re international projects such as the Regional President Meeting.
We study problems in our city, examine the ones we can influence on, organize internships for foreigners. This year we’re organizing the Explore Kazakhstan project. Soon three foreign volunteers will come to Kazakhstan to teach English in villages. This project was organized to improve education in rural areas.
Foreign volunteers must be able to work with children, work in a team, to have perfect English and shape up to rural life. This year participants from France and Great Britain are coming. Surely, all the volunteers may face difficulties. Anyway, they’re aware of that. The main thing is that volunteers are interested in Kazakhstan. We help them, they live with local families. They work and get acquainted with Kazakhstan and Astana in their spare time. Each position may receive over 50-100 applications on average.
We’re to invite 50 participants to take part in a large-scale project supported by Bolashak in autumn. We’re planning to increase the number of volunteers in Kazakhstan.
How to become a volunteer abroad
Three main projects we offer comprise Global Volunteer (students can work for free for 4-6 weeks), Global Talent (paid work which enables graduates work under a contract for 6-12 months) and Global Entrepreneur (work in start-up projects).
Countries organize projects for foreign volunteers. We help people from 18 to 30 years old organize travels. They just need to offer the program, country or direction. AIESEC program participants are provided with free accommodation and food. They have to pay for a flight and a visa only. This summer about 20 students are going abroad to do an internship.
We cooperate with Azerbaijan, Turkey, India, North Korea, Russia, Kyrgyzstan, Georgia, and Poland and other countries.

Working at AIESEC you have a great experience, you become more confident, responsible, open, and ambitious. Your AISEC committee is your family. Here you can have infinite opportunities for development.
Also, all participants have a unique opportunity to travel and work abroad. Our students like traveling to poor countries, for example, Africa. One of our participants is in Cambodia teaching English and art. She’s learning to adapt and communicate with foreigners.
AIESEC teaches to enjoy the things you do. Our internships enable you to relax, travel and contribute to the development of human potential. Going abroad you develop yourself and other people.
Being a member of AISEC, you understand that you’re doing something important. There is a connection between people all around the world, you feel the contribution to the development of the world.
On plans
There used to be AIESEC committees in many cities, in future we’re planning to launch them again. We’re developing a new project to be started in February.
