Victory Park
Victory Park offers a breathtaking view as it is the highest point in Dushanbe. Nearly half a century ago, an architectural-sculptural Memorial Complex and the Eternal Flame of Glory were built here. This landmark holds a special place in the city and is visible from almost any location in the capital.
Mehrgon market
Mehrgon Market represents the heart of Dushanbe and is one of the largest markets in Central Asia. Located in the city center, its unique architecture makes it one of the most beautiful markets in the region.
Rohat teahouse
Rohat Teahouse is a famous establishment in Dushanbe and a key landmark in the central part of the capital. Visitors can enjoy tea and traditional Tajik cuisine, including pilaf, lagman, and manty. The name "Rohat" translates from Tajik as "pleasure," "rest," or "tranquility."
Istiklol square
Istiklol Square remains one of the most impressive tourist attractions in the capital. It was inaugurated on September 8, 2022. At its center stands the striking Istiklol Tower, with a total height of 121 meters. The 30-meter base symbolizes 30 years of national independence, while the 91-meter upper section represents Tajikistan’s independence gained in 1991.
S. Aini opera and Ballet theatre
This is Tajikistan’s leading musical theater and the largest in Dushanbe. Since the Soviet era, it has hosted weekly performances, ballets, and concerts featuring renowned artists, musicians, and actors.
Markazi Osh
Markazi Osh, or the Plov Center, is a large restaurant specializing in national cuisine. It is designed in a traditional oriental architectural style.
Ethnography museum of the Academy of sciences
This museum, named after M.S. Andreev, opened in September 1981, based on ethnographic collections from the Institute of History. Its collection began forming in 1948 and continues to grow through expeditions across various regions of Tajikistan.
Gurminj Zavkibekov Museum of musical instruments
Founded in 1990 by renowned musician, actor, and Tajikistan’s People’s Artist Gurminj Zavkibekov, this private museum features a personal collection of over 100 musical instruments from different parts of Asia.
