Angelina Lukas became a world champion in boxing
Angelina Lukas faced Argentine Debora Anai Lopez 21-2-1, 1 KO, in a bout for the vacant IBO title in the junior flyweight division. The fight, scheduled for ten rounds of two minutes each, ended with the victory of the Kazakh boxer by judges' decision.
With this win, Lukas achieved her eleventh victory in her professional career and became the IBO world champion.

Kazakhstani gymnasts became the winners of the World Cup in Sombathey, Hungary
On the first day of the finals, Daria Yasinskaya brilliantly performed the vault, scoring 13.166 points and taking first place. Trailing in the men's vault competition, Asan Salimov surpassed his competitors with a score of 14.300. Aziz Ilyasov took fourth place in the pommel horse competition and Diaz Toishybek was fifth in the horizontal bar.

Universities of Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan ranked among the world's top universities
The prestigious global education ranking Times Higher Education has published a list of the world's best universities.
Nazarbayev University ranks fifth among universities in the CIS. Other Kazakh universities in the ranking include Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University, and Satbayev University.
The universities from Uzbekistan included in the ranking are the Tashkent Institute of Irrigation and Agricultural Mechanization, the National University of Uzbekistan named after Mirzo Ulughbek, and the Tashkent University of Information Technologies.
